Sweet Garlic Chicken

Description

This chicken is so tender and delicious, and the au jus it creates is amazing!

Ingredients

  • 4 whole chicken legs (thigh and drumstick)
  • 1 t Tamari
  • 1/3 c raw local honey
  • 5 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 t dried basil
  • 1 t dried oregano
  • sea salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 T extra virgin olive oil
  • 15 oz organic bone stock
  • 1/4 c white cooking wine

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, basil, and oregano.
  3. In a dutch oven, heat oil to high temp.
  4. Add garlic to hot pan and add chicken immediately.
  5. Brown chicken on both sides.
  6. Add wine.
  7. Drizzle chicken with honey.
  8. Add bone stock.
  9. Cook 5 minutes on high to reduce.
  10. Cover and cook in oven for 30 minutes or until internal temperature has reached 165F.
