Paleo Turkey Chili

Description

This chili recipe is packed with veggies and healthy ground turkey making it a very filling and tasty meal!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 white onion, diced
  • 1 medium shallot diced
  • 1 zucchini, diced
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can of fire roasted tomatoes
  • 1 can of jovial diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 T clarified pasture butter
  • 1/4 t cayenne pepper
  • 1 T garlic powder
  • 1 T chili powder
  • 2 T smoked paprika
  • 2 t cumin
  • sea salt and pepper, season to taste

Instructions

  1. Add butter to your pan over medium/high heat. Saute garlic for 1 minute. Cook the ground turkey (or other ground meat) until brown.
  2. Sauté the onion, shallot and peppers until they become softer. Add zucchini and peppers. And All seasonings. Cook 5 minutes
  3. In a crockpot, add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and fire roasted tomatoes. Mix Well and Add meat mixture. cook on high 4 hours. Or low for 8.
