Grilled Halibut with Orange Ginger Sauce

Description

Craving Asian food? This sweet and tangy fish dish is certain to hit the spot.

Ingredients

  • 4 large halibut steaks, about 1 inch thick
  • olive oil
  • 1/3 c orange juice
  • 1/4 c wheat-free tamari sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 T honey
  • 2 T dry sherry
  • 1/2 t ground ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 c water

Instructions

  1. Brush both sides of steaks with olive oil.
  2. Place on an oiled grill about 4 to 6 inches above coals.
  3. Cook, turning once, until fish flakes with a fork, about 8-10 minutes total.
  4. Carefully remove from grill and place on platter.
  5. Meanwhile, to prepare glaze, combine orange juice, soy sauce, honey, sherry, ginger, and garlic in a small saucepan;
  6. Stir well to blend and simmer 5 minutes. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly.
  7. Pour sauce over halibut steaks and serve.
