Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs beef sirloin
- 8 oz white button mushrooms, stems removed
- 1/2 c pure maple syrup
- 3 T bourbon
- 1/4 c wheat-free Worcestershire sauce
- Sea salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cube steak into 1 inch cubes and place into a ziplock bag.
- Add maple syrup, bourbon, Worcestershire, sea salt and black pepper to taste.
- Allow to sit in bag, in fridge for 2-4 hours.
- Heat a large skillet over high heat. You want the skillet to be hot before pouring bag in.
- Once skillet it HOT. Pour in bag, including sauce.
- After 5 minutes of cooking the meat, stirring frequently, add the mushrooms.
- Simmer meat and mushrooms in sauce for 7-10 minutes.
- Remove once desired wellness is reached and sauce is consistency of cold maple syrup.
- Plate and serve!
