Featured Recipe: Bourbon Beef Tips

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs beef sirloin
  • 8 oz white button mushrooms, stems removed
  • 1/2 c pure maple syrup
  • 3 T bourbon
  • 1/4 c wheat-free Worcestershire sauce
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cube steak into 1 inch cubes and place into a ziplock bag.
  2. Add maple syrup, bourbon, Worcestershire, sea salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Allow to sit in bag, in fridge for 2-4 hours.
  4. Heat a large skillet over high heat. You want the skillet to be hot before pouring bag in.
  5. Once skillet it HOT. Pour in bag, including sauce.
  6. After 5 minutes of cooking the meat, stirring frequently, add the mushrooms.
  7. Simmer meat and mushrooms in sauce for 7-10 minutes.
  8. Remove once desired wellness is reached and sauce is consistency of cold maple syrup.
  9. Plate and serve!
