Everyone loves a tasty plate of guac and chips.  Good guacamole doesn’t take a lot of time or ingredients to make but can be easily jazzed up in a variety of different ways to create new and exciting flavors. These twists on the traditional guacamole can be eaten as dips, spread for raw veggies, mixed in salads, and as toppers to your fish and meat. You can even choose your favorite to serve on Super Bowl Sunday coming up.

Here, are some versions that you might want to stash in your guacamole repertoire…

Guac-Kale-Mole

Roughly chop up some washed kale and toss it into your food processor with a little lime juice and oilve oil.  Pulse until it is finely chopped up.  Add it into your classic guacamole mixture.

Fruit Twist

Felling a bit fruity? Add some chopped up organic granny smith apple or fresh juicy peaches into your traditional guac for a sweet and crispy twist.

Tropical Sunrise

Craving a trip to the islands?  Why not send your taste buds there by adding in some ripe pineapple and mangos into the classic version.

Italian Flare

Turn that traditional guacamole into an Italian masterpiece by replacing the tomatoes with roasted cherry tomatoes, double up on the garlic and add in some freshly chopped basil, some high quality olive oil and a dash of oregano.

Greek Style

Dream of those beautiful blue oceans in the greek isles while you enjoy this modification to class guacamole.  Replace the traditional tomatoes with grape tomatoes. Then add in some chopped kalamata olives, goat cheese and a dash of oregano.

Fire House

For those of you spicy enthusiasts with numb tongues and iron guts, you will love this twist.  Add in a few extra jalepanos with the seeds, red pepper flakes, sriracha or hot sauce.

Guacamole is tasty as it traditionally is, but why not kick this creamy healthy treat up a notch with one of these different versions.  Share some of them with friends at your next event and you will have them screaming “Holy Guacamole”.
